A reform of the university administration is underway
The University of Copenhagen (UCPH) wants to be the best place for the best ideas and create solutions for a sustainable society. The administration at UCPH must help create cohesion across the University and support teaching and research at the highest level.
A modern, integrated and efficient administration with high expertise, user focus and good development opportunities is crucial to fulfill this ambition.
UCPH has therefore decided to implement a major reform of the administration.
Change and new communities
The changes the reform is meant to bring about are the outcome of thorough preparatory efforts. They will be implemented from 1 March 2025 and in the years ahead.
It will involve many changes in day-to-day activities at the University, both structurally and in relation to things close to the individual, such as new reporting lines, new colleagues or a new location.
As a new employee, you will be part of an exciting process where the new organisation along with changed practices and new systems will be implemented, anchored and, of course, improved and streamlined on an ongoing basis.
This is the UCPH administration
From March 2025, UCPH will have a new, shared university administration that supports the entire university. It consists of:
- Three administrative centres with expertise in most administrative areas. They will deal with most tasks related to day-to-day support of the academic environments.
- Eight group units with more frame-setting, strategic and specialised administrative tasks, including ownership of administrative processes and systems.
In addition to the university administration, there are local administrations at department, faculty and rectorate levels. These staff teams will deal with tasks that are best carried out for local management.
