1-3 Students at CAISA (The National Centre for AI in Society)
Are you curious, well-organized, and interested in working with research, communication, and the development of a new interdisciplinary, multi-university research center? We are looking for students to take on both research, administrative, communication and outreach tasks in the newly established National Center for AI in Society (CAISA). The National Center for AI in Society has recently been established as part of the Danish Government’s ’Strategiske Indsats for Kunstig Intelligens’.
The center is a national consortium consisting of University of Copenhagen, Aalborg University, Aarhus University, ITU and DTU led by the University of Copenhagen in close collaboration with the Pioneer Centre for AI. You will be physically located at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Copenhagen (Øster Farimagsgade 5, 1353 Copenhagen) and will work closely with the administrative and scientific leadership of the center’s Copenhagen hub. With support of DKK 50.7 million from the Research Reserve and the Ministry of Digital Affairs, the center will involve both part-time and full-time researchers, as well as a number of fellows and visiting scholars. The ambition is to create a dynamic, open, and international environment with strong societal engagement.

Your tasks will include
- Contributing to research communication, including setting up and promoting briefs and producing posts for social media (LinkedIn, Bluesky, etc.)
- Preparing slides and materials for presentations and meetings
- Supporting the planning and coordination of events and workshops
- Assisting researchers with publication processes (proofreading, reference management, understanding journal guidelines, etc.), and supporting literature reviews and the preparation of research briefs.
- Assisting with practical and ad hoc aspects of running and building up a new research center
We are looking for someone who
- Is open, curious, and enjoys working with people from different academic backgrounds
- Has strong Danish and English language skills, both written and spoken, and an eye for detail when proofreading
- Is comfortable handling a wide range of tasks – some dynamic, others more routine
- Has strong organizational skills and is skilled in synthesizing and structuring information
Practical information
- Working hours: The working hours are flexible, averaging about 15 hours per week with flexibility around exam periods
- Workplace: The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Copenhagen (Øster Farimagsgade 5, 1353 Copenhagen)
- Start date: 15 August 2025, or as soon as possible
Terms and conditions
The employment is made in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Organisations of Public Employees – governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) and under the Professional Agreement for clerical employees, laboratory technicians and it officers in the state.
The minimum wage is DKK 141,14 (1 April 2025-level). Your salary will be based on seniority.
To be considered for the position, you must be an active student enrolled at an institution of higher education.
