SCIENCE Data Manager at Niels Bohr Institute, NQCP

About us
The Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) is establishing a talented and diverse international team to create a cutting-edge quantum programme in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark. At the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, where the formulation of Quantum Mechanics was born 100 years ago, we aim to establish an international quantum computing programme, generously funded by the Novo Nordisk Foundation, that will drive research and innovations at multiple levels - from developing scalable quantum processor technologies to solutions for the quantum-classical control and readout interface, and all the way to quantum algorithms and applications. The long-term mission of the programme is to develop fault-tolerant quantum computing hardware and quantum algorithms that solve life-science-relevant chemical and biological problems.
The job
Your main task is driving the research data management at NQCP in close collaboration with the Data manager at the Quantum Foundry, a newly founded project, under the Novo Nordisk Foundation, aimed at developing next generation Quantum Computing Processor technologies.
The position requires a high degree of cross-functional collaboration and teamwork, and you will be working closely with the research teams at NQCP.
Your task will include:
- Developing and maintaining digital security solutions to protect sensitive data
- Establish and maintain a database as a platform for all data across the programme
- Keeping track of all internal data and received data files from the Quantum Foundry
- Communicate data storage and sharing policies across the programme
- Management and oversight of control and calibration software
We expect
- Master or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, statistics, or other relevant education
- More than 5 years’ experience with data management and security in a research & development context
- Experience with high-confidentiality data management is preferred
- Experience with the Azure platform is an advantage
- Familiar with system engineering concepts

A central position in the newly established Quantum programme at KU where you will be involved from the very beginning in the mission of NQCP.
You will report to the head of the secretariat and will be working at interface between the support team and the researchers to facilitate an efficient data driven programme, which professionally and proactively supports the Centre's research activities.

Terms of salary and employment
The employment and salary are made in accordance with the Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning academics in the state sector concluded between the Ministry of Finance and AC (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations).
Employment will be as academic employee or special consultant. The salary is based on seniority. Negotiation for salary supplement is possible. The working time are 37 hours per week on average. The working hours are flexible.
The position is limited until 31 December 2029 and appointment will be subject to receipt of a security clearance.
