Postdoc Environmental Economics

The Department of Food and Resource Economics (IFRO) at the University of Copenhagen invites applications for a 2-year fixed-term postdoc position, placed in the Section for Environment and Natural Resources. The position term may be pro-longed based on performance and funding.  We are looking for 1-2 postdocs who will mainly be working on the EU-project INTERCEDE (see https://efi.int/news/new-project-seeks-market-solutions-support-forest-benefits-and-services-2024-03-12) in collaboration with other partners from across Europe. The project will be researching approaches to incentivize provision of ecosystem services from forests in Europe, with particular focus on market based instruments.  

The postdoc’s duties will include research within environmental economics and policy, involving e.g., economic valuation methods, environmental policy analysis, and/or conservation science. The postdoc is expected to be part of several joint research activities, involving researchers with different disciplinary skills. Hence, good collaboration skills are needed. The postdoc will take the lead on some of these activities as jointly agreed. The postdoc may also be involved in other duties such as teaching.

Terms of employment

The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.

Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.

Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
