Postdoctoral Fellowship in Experimental Triple-Hybrid Material

Center for Quantum Devices, Niels Bohr Institute

Faculty of Science

University of Copenhagen

The Center for Quantum Devices at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, invites applicants for a postdoctoral fellowship to investigate epitaxial semiconductor-superconductor-ferromagnetic insulator hybrid materials in the context of condensed matter devices with novel functionalities, emergent phases, and unconventional superconductivity.

Candidates should have a PhD in experimental condensed matter physics, mesoscopic electron transport, or experimental solid-state quantum information science. The project combines nanofabrication, low-temperature measurements using a cryofree dilution refrigerator, low-noise and high-frequency electrical measurement techniques, data analysis, and close collaboration with theoretical physicists. Scientific writing and communication will be in English. The position may also include the performance of other duties.

Inquiries about the position can be made to Professors Saulius Vaitiekenas,, and Charles Marcus,

The position is open from 1 July 2024 and runs till 31 December 2025, with a possibility of extending the contract further.
