Postdoc of Chemistry – Organic Synthesis, Department of Chemistry
The position is in the field of organic synthesis in the group of Prof. Mogens Brøndsted Nielsen. The project focuses on the synthesis and studies of organic chromophores with interesting fluorescent and light-harvesting properties of relevance for organic photovoltaics. The successful candidate should have a strong background in organic synthesis, documented by publications (published or in preparation). The project is rooted in the development of new synthetic protocols for achieving advanced chromophores and fluorophores. A particular emphasis is on developing molecules that are stable towards singlet oxygen or do not act as photosensitizers for singlet oxygen. In addition to optical studies, the project will include cyclic voltammetry studies to elucidate redox properties.
The postdoc’s duties will include research within organic synthesis as well as supervision of students. The post may also include performance of other duties.
