Assistant Professor of Protein engineering
The Department of Plant & Environmental Sciences, Faculty of Science at University of Copenhagen is offering a time limited 2-year Assistant Professor position in protein engineering commencing 1st May 2020 or as soon as possible thereafter.
The project is aiming at developing a novel magneto-sensitive optogenetic switch based on the CRY1 protein. The assistant professor’s duties will primarily include research, including obligations with regard to publication/scientific communication and research-based teaching with associated examination obligations within protein science. To a limited extent this may also include performance of other duties.

Terms of employment
The employment is made in accordance with the Circular on the Collective Agreement concerning Academics in the state sector concluded between the Ministry of Finance and Akademikerne (the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations), and The Protocol on certain employment conditions for Academic Staff at the Universities of 18 September 2015.
The employment is furthermore covered by the rules concerning assistant professors as described in the Job Structure for Academic Staff at Universities of 2020.
