Assistant Professor of Cereals and Foodomics
We invite applications for a two-year Assistant Professor position within the Foodomics research group at the Department of Food Science. The successful candidate will have documented research expertise in food analytics, with a focus on advanced analytical techniques such as NMR and GC-MS for investigating the molecular composition of dairy and plant-based foods and food waste streams. Hands-on experience with spectroscopic methods and their application to dairy and plant food samples is essential. Proficiency in multivariate data analysis and its use in large-scale foodomics datasets will be considered a strong asset. Furthermore, experience in teaching food analytics and plant-based foods, including cereals, is highly desirable. The assistant professor’s duties will primarily include research, including obligations with regard to publication/scientific communication and research-based teaching.
Assessment of applicants will primarily consider their level of documented, internationally competitive research within foodomics and food analytics. Documented teaching qualifications and teaching experience with in the above mentioned fields will be considered an advantage.
