Student helper position at Department of Food Science

Department of Food Science at SCIENCE University of Copenhagen is looking for a student helper with effect from 1 August 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position runs until 31 December 2025.

About us
We are looking for a part-time student helper – 15 hours per week - to support the implementation of Global Student Challenge: Solve It with Biosolutions (BIOSOL2025). This project aims to promote the MSc programme in Biosolutions and Campus Kalundborg globally and attract talented students through a unique, student-centered competition. The workplace will be both Frederiksberg and Kalundborg.

Tasks
Are you passionate about international education, communication, and student engagement? If so and you enjoy working in a dynamic, international environment and want to contribute to an exciting outreach initiative, we would love to hear from you.

Your task will include

  • Managing communication with participants and partners
  • Receiving and organizing submitted videos
  • Responding to inquiries via email and social media
  • Promoting the challenge internationally
  • Coordinating with jury members and supporting the selection process
  • Assisting with logistics and supporting international winners during their visit to Kalundborg
  • Organizing local tours in Kalundborg related to biosolutions (e.g., labs, companies) and leisure activities (e.g., nature or cultural visits)
  • Contributing to documentation and writing the final project report.

We expect

  • Hold at least a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as biotechnology, food science, environmental science, or a related area connected to biosolutions
  • Have strong organisational skills
  • Are independent and able to work in a collaborative and international work environment
  • Have experience with social media communication and participant outreach
  • Are an active Student
  • Are proficient in English; knowledge of other languages such as Spanish, Portuguese, or Italian is a strong advantage.

Terms of salary and employment
The employment is made in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Taxation and the Organisations of Public Employees – governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) and the Professional Agreement for clerical employees, laboratory technicians and IT-officers in the state.
