Postdoc in Cardiovascular Physiology, Section of Integrative Physiology

The section of Integrative Physiology at The Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports is seeking an expert in human vascular physiology and exercise physiology for a full time Post-Doc position. The subject area is Human Cardiovascular Physiology with a focus on regulation of blood flow and vascular function. The research strategy of the group involves a combination of human studies with detailed cellular and molecular analysis.
 
The Post Doc is expected to participate in the ongoing research of the Cardiovascular group concerning basic regulation of blood flow to skeletal muscle and other organs and mechanisms underlying lifestyle related changes in vascular function. A central aspect of the research is the influence of physical inactivity and activity on vascular function and the underlying cellular and molecular mechanisms. In addition to research, the post involves teaching, supervision of students and possibly other duties.
 
Qualifications
  
The applicant should hold a Master and PhD degree in a relevant field and have a track record of publications within this field. Preference will be given to applicants with documented experience in leading, organizing and executing invasive human intervention studies. Preference is also given to applicants with solid expertise both in physiological testing and biochemical methods.

The position is open from October 1st, 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter the position is time limited for 1 year and 8 months

Terms of employment 
 
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.  
 
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
 
The starting salary is currently up to DKK 419.772 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 71.781). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
