Postdoc of Organic Chemistry

Description of the Scientific Environment  
The department of Chemistry, KU, is the largest chemical research institution in Denmark, with an energetic, eclectic environment of diversified research programs, including physics, physical chemistry, biology, biochemistry, biomedicine, and nanoscience. The Department and Nano Science Center offer excellent infrastructure for carrying out the proposed project (in-house facilities: NMR, MS facility, elemental analysis, X-ray crystallography, LCMS, HPLC, GCMS.)
Project description  
The project is focused on organic synthesis-based desalination, using carbon dioxide and designer CO2-responsive molecules. The highly risking and bold challenge will help to pave the way for more efficient, easy, and cost-effective solutions to desalination and water purification, and thus provide an increased and safer access to potable water for the world population. Researchers with good experiences in organic synthesis, material sciences, polymer chemistry will be encouraged to apply.  
The postdoc’s duties will include research within organic and polymer chemistry as well as teaching. The post may also include performance of other duties.

The position is open from 1 May 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is for a one-year period.

Terms of employment  
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.  
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.  
The starting salary is currently up to DKK 413.717 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 70.746). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
