The Center for Quantum Devices is a basic research center supported by the Danish National Research Foundation, comprising materials research, experimental physics, nanoelectronics and condensed matter theory. Microsoft Quantum – Copenhagen (Station Q) is a research center sponsored by Microsoft Research aimed at developing topological quantum information processing hardware.
The position
The Center for Quantum Devices and Microsoft Quantum Copenhagen (Station Q), announces the opening of a Postdoc position to develop hybrid epitaxial semiconductor-magnetic-superconductor materials for novel quantum electronic structures. The project work will involve bottom-up nano-structured crystal growth by Molecular Beam Epitaxy, structural and electronic characterization, with the overarching goal of making low dimensional components for quantum information processing.
Information about QDev can be found at qdev.dk. Information about Microsoft Quantum Copenhagen can be found at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/research/group/microsoft-quantum-copenhagen/
The position is open from February 1st, 2018 or by arrangement.
The candidate
The successful applicant, who should have a strong background in physics or material science, and preferably in semiconductor crystal growth, will work as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen.
