Assistant Professor of Law, Department of Food and Resource Economics, University of Copenhagen

The Department of Food and Resource Economics embraces social science disciplines such as economics, sociology, ethics and law with a particular emphasis on aspects related to food and natural resources. The law group at the Section for Consumption, Bioethics and Governance is responsible for teaching law courses at the Faculty of Science, including EU law, Forvaltningsret (Administrative Law) and Miljø- og planlovgivning (Environmental and Planning Law). The law group conducts research in topics of particular relevance for the Faculty, e.g. environmental law, food law, EU law and international law. Research and teaching may take place in a cross-disciplinary context. The law group aims to establish and maintain contacts and networks both within and outside academia.  
 
Applicants must have an academic degree within law as well as documented scientific qualifications such as a Ph.D. or equivalent in relation to the above subject area. Qualifications within one or more of the following scientific areas are required: EU law, administrative law, environmental law, food law or other relevant areas of law.  
 
The assistant professor’s duties will primarily include research, including obligations with regard to publication/scientific communication and research-based teaching with associated examination obligations within law. To a limited extent this may also include performance of other duties. Language skills in English as well as Danish are needed as teaching is in both English and Danish.

Terms of employment 
The position is covered by the Memorandum on Job Structure for Academic Staff.  
Terms of appointment and payment accord to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.  
The starting salary is currently up to DKK 413.717 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 70.746). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible.
