Post-doctoral position in development of hybrid epitaxial ‘semiconductor-magnetic-superconductor’ materials by Molecular Beam Epitaxy at the Center for Quantum Devices, Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

The Center for Quantum Devices is a basic research center supported by the Danish National Research Foundation, comprising materials research, experimental physics, nanoelectronics and condensed matter theory. The position 
The Center for Quantum Devices at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, announces the opening of a Postdoc position to develop hybrid epitaxial semiconductor-magnetic-superconductor materials for novel quantum electronic structures. The project work will involve bottom-up nano-structured crystal growth by Molecular Beam Epitaxy, structural and electronic characterization, with the overarching goal of making low dimensional components for topological quantum information processing.  
The candidate 
The successful applicant, who should have a strong background in physics or material science, and preferably in semiconductor crystal growth, will work as a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Copenhagen.

Terms of appointment and payment 
The Postdoc position has a duration of two year with the possibility of extension. The position is open from 1. January or as agreed. The research will be part of the project HEMs-DAM, granted under the Horizon 2020, EuropeanResearch Council Starting Grant
Salary, pension and terms of employment are in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Academics Central organization.  The starting salary is currently up to DKK 413.717 including annual supplement (+ pension up to DKK 70.746). Negotiation for salary supplement is possible. The position is open for candidates of all nationalities.
